• 500 grams of lamb mince
  • Olive oil
  • 1 Red onion diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbls. Pine nuts
  • 2 tbls. Chopped mint
  • 200 grams feta, crumbed
  • 200 grams mozzarella, grated or sliced
  • 2/3 cup of pizza sauce
  • Extra fresh mint leaves
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 cup of baby rocket
  • 1 pomegranate, seeds extracted


  • 1 and a half tsp. Cumin powder
  • Quarter tsp. Chilli powder
  • Half tsp. Sumac
  • Half tsp. Cinnamon
  • Quarter tsp. Salt and Quarter tsp. cracked pepper


  • 1 Store bought container of Tzatziki OR 1 Cup of yoghurt
  • 1 Cucumber grated
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 Clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped mint
  • Half Tbsp. of chopped dill
  • Squeeze out the juice of the grated cucumber and place in a bowl along with all the other ingredients and stir, season as required.


This middle eastern medley of flavours will tantalise your taste buds. With a subtle spiciness from the mince mixture, saltiness of the feta, and freshness from the herbs and pomegranate, this pizza is superbly balanced and better than any takeaway alternative!


  1. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, add olive oil and fry off the onion, garlic and spices until onion if soft. Add the mince, stir and cook until the mince just starts to colour.
  2. Add pine nuts and mint, combine and remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees C or on Pizza setting.
  4. Spoon pizza sauce over the bases of each pizza.
  5. Add the mozzarella cheese, spoon over the mince onto each pizza.
    Crumble over the feta.
  6. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and golden.
  7. Once cooked, slice up pizza, drizzle over the tzatziki sauce, garnish with the rocket, mint and coriander leaves. To finish scatter over the fresh pomegranate seeds.
  8. Enjoy the middle eastern flavour of this pizza with a fresh addition of the salad, sauce and a pop of pomegranate. The combination of all these flavours makes this pizza so delicious!
