Nubake Bakery Launceston History

Originally started out as St Leonards Nubake Bakery in 1956 situated in St Leonards and owned by a Mr Brandehurst.

Moved to its present site at 11 Hobart Road in 1967 and continued to operate as St Leonards Nubake Bakery

Purchased by Hedley Harris in 1969.

Prior to the Purchase of St Leonards Nubake bakery Hedley Harris owned Launceston Bakeries situated in David St Newstead

Launceston Bakeries remained operational until February 1971 when it was amalgamated with St Leonards Nubake at 11 Hobart Rd and the St Leonards name was removed at the bakery became Nubake Bakery

Nubake Bakery was eventually sold to Tony Hughes and became part of the Holymonds Affleck group in 1990

Pivot purchased Nubake bakery in 1997
