Muffins:
Traditional English or Cheese and Bacon
Ingredients:
- 2 Cripps Nubake Muffins ~ separated and lightly toasted4 slices of ham, off-the-bone
- 8 fresh asparagus spears
- 125grm camembert cheese
- 20grm butter
Method:
~ Trim the asparagus spears to a little over the width of a muffin.~ Place in boiling, salted water for approximately 1 minute and refresh in iced water immediately. Drain.
~ Split and toast two muffins and spread with butter.
~ Wrap a slice of ham around two asparagus spears and place on top of muffin halves.
~ Slice the camembert and lay on top of the ham and asparagus.
~ Gratinate under a hot grill or in the oven until the cheese begins to melt.
~ Season with fresh ground black pepper and serve immediately.
